Join a well-established utilities contractor, on a contract basis, to enhance your skills and abilities whilst playing a crucial role in our client's commitment to excellence. This opportunity will allow you to work on-site from our client's main substation, located in Southwest Wales, in which you will be building your portfolio of works by working on a variety of projects surrounding the National Grid.

- Competitive day rate ranging from £450-£600 (subject to experience).

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all civil engineering works, occurring on-site, with the inclusion of drainage, utilities, earthworks, surfacing, setting out, and other related activities.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant environmental, health and safety, and quality requirements, whilst also nurturing on-site safety principles.
- Allow for effective coordination with suppliers and subcontractors, observe project progress, document on-site performance, and control all materials and resources.
- Inspect site programmes, locate all risks and concerns, suggest corrective strategies, and ensure the project sticks to assigned timelines.
- Collaborate with design professionals, project managers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure effective communication and issue and concern resolution.
- Put together concise site documentation and reports, ensuring it remains up to date and accurate, whilst also conducting site meetings to ensure project alignment.
Requirements
- Profound experience as a Civil Site Manager, or an equivalent position, ideally within civil engineering projects, with a focus on the National Grid.
- Strong understanding of environmental principles, CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, and quality assurance.
- Possession of SMSTS, SR163 previous nomination, Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS), 3-day Full First Aid training, HSG47, SR163, and NG NSI 8 Full qualifications.
- Sound communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Must have organisational skills, with an ability to work under pressure, whilst maintaining project quality and assuming a proactive mindset.
