Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Civil QC Supervisor for a Carbon Capture project in North Wales. The role requires supervisory experience within the Oil and Gas industry. Responsibilities include overseeing inspections and ensuring compliance with Quality Control Plans. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering and ISO 9001:2015 certification. This is an onsite position for a 24-month contract with a competitive daily rate.

Job description
Overview

Civil QC Supervisor – Talacre (North Wales) Onshore site. 24 months + Contract. Project expected to last 2/3 years. Daily rate: £575 - £630 Outside IR35. Onsite work 5.5 days per week.

Role on a Carbon Capture project offshore in Liverpool Bay. Project duration 2/3 years. Working Monday – Friday with some Saturday work (8:00 – 13:00).

This role is ideal for someone with QC supervisory experience within the Oil and Gas industry or similar. You will supervise a team of QC inspectors, ensure Quality Control Plans are correctly carried out, and liaise with the end client.

The company is a market leader in the EPC sector, specialising in onshore and offshore projects.

The Role
  • Supervise and witness inspections, ensuring approved Quality Control Plans and documentation are correctly implemented and recorded, including subcontracted activities.
  • Verify preparation and completeness of Quality dossiers for final handover and ensure proper management of materials, equipment, and calibration records.
  • Support and monitor qualification of inspection personnel, QC system rules, and work procedures, including special processes.
  • Ensure NCR management, inspections, and testing are effectively carried out per QC and ITP requirements, with all records properly collected for mechanical completion.
The Person
  • Proven experience as Civil QC in a management/supervisory role.
  • Oil and gas experience or similar.
  • ISO 9001:2015 certified.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
