Job summary

XAD Technologies is seeking a Civil Operative for a telecoms project in Cornwall. You will work on civil construction tasks including ducting, trenching, reinstatements and cable laying, installing ducts, chambers, cabinets and associated equipment.

The role involves heavy civils crews, open-cut trenching, and installation across various surface types, both public and private, with sub-ducting and rope/cable installation as needed. Prior telecom civil experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Civil Operative or similar role within the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques, methodologies, and materials used in telecom infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Support in civil construction project of Telecom industry including but not limited to ducting, trenching, reinstatements, and cable laying.
• Provide new installation of duct, chambers, cabinets & associated equipment.
• Box / Chamber building (Heavy Civils Crews)
• Open cut trenching and installation of new duct and associated equipment in all surface types, verge, footway and carriageway (public and private) (Heavy Civils Crews only)
• Sub-ducting and Install new draw rope or cable in new duct as required
• Locating and clearing of blockages in various surface types such as verge, footway and carriageway
