We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to complement and support our ambitious team in Cheltenham. Our client offers Flood Risk and Infrastructure Engineering services from initial appraisal and pre-planning stage through to detailed design and Construction. They cover all sectors and size of projects from Residential, Education, Commercial and Industrial to Health, Leisure and Renewable Energy.

The ideal candidate should have some experience in CAD design and detailing to support technical outputs for drainage and highways designs and therefore a solid knowledge of AutoCAD is essential. You can additionally expect to use QGIS, PDS, and Causeway Flow.

The role
  • The role will primarily involve supporting our Senior team with the delivery of technical design reports and Drainage strategies for planning. It will also involve detailed drainage and highways design post-planning to technical approval and construction.
  • Prepare Technical Highways drawings and support design (e.g., preliminary general arrangements, S278, and S38 designs) following National Standards and Council guidelines.
  • Develop and detail Drainage strategies to support planning applications, considering SuDS principles.
  • CAD design and detailing with input to company CAD standards.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, project team members, and clients.
  • Assist with site visits supporting Senior Engineers.
  • Attend company social events.
What you need to succeed
  • Hold a relevant Engineering degree or equivalent qualification (Beng/Meng).
  • Have 1 or more years post graduate experience within the field of Infrastructure/Civil Engineering.
  • Be capable of working independently to deliver engineering solutions to a high standard.
  • Be able to prioritize workload and manage the delivery of multiple projects to defined deadlines.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients and project team members.
