Job summary

Caddick Civil Engineering, part of the Caddick Construction Group, is seeking an Estimator to join the growing team. You will review tender documents, prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions, and collaborate with subcontractors to secure competitive bids.

In this role you’ll use Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX and Excel, work with the construction and commercial teams, and help deliver preconstruction packages.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with cost planning and two-stage tenders.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Conquest and Bluebeam/CostX.
• Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, assess risks and opportunities, and contribute to bid strategies.
• Complete accurate take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and conduct cost comparisons.
• Work closely with the construction and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and methodology.
• Produce tender handover packs for successful bids and support the project team through preconstruction.
• Use software such as Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX, and Excel to manage estimating tasks and reporting.
