Job summary

Caulmert Limited is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to support the expansion of its Digital Design and Modelling and engineering design teams. The role covers multi-disciplinary projects across education, commercial, industrial, residential, energy and infrastructure sectors, with a mix of office and home-based work.

The candidate will prepare detailed drawings, liaise with teams and clients, and contribute to BIM strategy while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Ambition, commitment and integrity.
At least 6 years post-qualification experience as a technician on infrastructure/highways/delivery of civils projects.
Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent.
Strong experience with Civils 3D/Site 3D and Autodesk software.
Exposure to Causeway Flow or MicroDrainage design software.
Experience in Highways adoption applications Section 38/278.
Experience with road alignments and corridor design.
UK driving license and own transport.
High level of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using Civils 3D, Site 3D and Auto Track.
Support highways adoption applications (Section 38/278) and water company adoption (Section 104/106).
Design road alignments and corridor concepts; perform site-wide Cut and Fill analysis.
Coordinate with design teams, contractors and stakeholders; respond to queries.
Occasional site visits for surveys/inspections; promote BIM strategy within the business.
Ensure adherence to quality procedures and document transmittals.
Work within a BIM Level 2/ISO19650 environment.
