Job summary

Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is seeking a Construction Project Planner to develop, monitor and manage programmes across multiple groundworks and civil projects. You will work with the Pre-Construction Manager, Commercial Manager, Contracts Managers and site teams to create robust programmes and report progress for safe, efficient delivery.

The role requires proficiency in planning software and experience in handling change management, with focus on on-site coordination and timely project completion

Qualifications

• Experience producing and managing construction programmes.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject and Primavera.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project programmes using industry-standard planning software.
• Produce NEC compliant programmes and recovery plans as needed.
• Monitor progress and update programmes with site progress information.
• Analyse programme performance and identify delays or slippage.
• Prepare weekly/monthly programme reports for senior management and clients.
• Support commercial and contractual processes with robust planning evidence.
