Job summary

Durham County Council is offering an Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering with a focus on supporting the Strategic Traffic team and gaining practical experience across urban and rural traffic projects. You will learn to design, maintain transport infrastructure and contribute to safety audits alongside a skilled team.

You will study toward Level 3 and Level 4 Civil Engineering qualifications with our training providers, while developing professional skills and earning while you learn.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English, Maths and a Science subject or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the wider Strategic Traffic team.
• Assist with urban and rural traffic, transport infrastructure design and maintenance, safety audits, and design reviews.
• Support training toward Level 3 and Level 4 Civil Engineering qualifications.
