Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Belfast is searching for a Civil Engineer in the Water/Public Health team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include supporting the design of various water structures and preparing project documentation. Salary ranges from £30,000 to £35,000, and the position offers hybrid working options along with professional training and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

This is a well-respected consultancy with a stable NI client base, strong repeat work, and a proven training culture.

The Ideal Person
  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer
  • 1+ year experience in water / drainage / public health engineering
  • Experience with design and/or modelling software desirable (training provided)
  • Strong analytical + communication skills
  • Able to prioritise workload and deliver within agreed timescales
  • Client focused and keen to progress professionally
Responsibilities
  • Support design of water retaining structures, pumping stations, control buildings etc
  • Prepare project specifications, BOQs and design documentation
  • Attend design team meetings and contribute to technical reviews
  • Organise / support site surveys and site investigation activities
  • Support health & safety documentation and compliance with QA systems
  • Provide wider civil engineering input to other teams when required
