Job summary

ARS Consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. The candidate will work with project managers, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to support the delivery of civil and structural projects from planning through to completion.

The role involves reviewing drawings, site inspections, QA/QC, documentation and coordinating with the project team to resolve technical issues while ensuring health and safety requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience within civil, structural or construction engineering.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and engineering principles.
• Experience of site inspections, setting out, QA/QC and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with UK construction standards and working practices.
• Competence in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering or project-management software.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Undertaking site inspections, setting-out activities and engineering surveys.
• Monitoring construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
• Preparing as-built information, inspection records and project documentation.
• Supporting quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors and other members of the project team.
• Identifying and assisting with the resolution of technical and site-related issues.
• Monitoring project progress and assisting with programme and resource planning.
• Ensuring engineering activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Supporting project handover, inspections and completion documentation.
