Job description

We are a growing Building & Civil engineering contractor operating across NI, IRE & the UK. Due to continued workload, we are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Site Manager to oversee day-to-day site operations and support project delivery from start to finish.

This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on site, managing teams, and taking ownership of works.

Key Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day management of civil and groundworks projects
• Setting out and supervising works on site
• Managing subcontractors, operatives, and plant
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
• Liaising with clients, engineers, and suppliers
• Maintaining site records, RAMS, and quality documentation
• Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries
• Assisting with valuations, variations, and cost control

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in civil engineering / groundworks projects
• Strong knowledge of site operations and health & safety
• Ability to read drawings and specifications confidently
• Setting out experience using GPS/total station (advantageous)
• Full UK driving licence
• Self‑motivated with strong organisational skills
