• HNC/HND or Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Shrewsbury

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday (flexible working available)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

An excellent opportunity with my client has arisen for a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering infrastructure and development projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects from feasibility to construction, including highways, drainage, SuDS, flood risk management, and transport planning.

About the Role

• Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes.
• Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and design documentation.
• Undertake site assessments and coordinate with relevant authorities.
• Manage workloads, deadlines, and client communication with minimal supervision.
• Support and mentor junior team members as required.

Key Skills & Experience

• HNC/HND or Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
• Experience with MicroDrainage, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of S38, S104, and S278 agreements.
• Understanding of SuDS, drainage design, and flood risk assessments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Desirable

• Experience preparing Transport Statements.
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015.
• Progression toward IEng or CEng qualification encouraged and supported.
