Binnies, a part of the RS Group, is inviting Civil Engineers to join the @one Alliance in Peterborough. Hybrid options available for this role.

You will design water and wastewater solutions, produce designs and calculations, and progress projects from feasibility through construction while collaborating with CAD technicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in civil design, ideally water/wastewater.
• Comfort with design codes and software.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil solutions for water/wastewater projects.
• Prepare designs, calculations, and specs with CAD support.
• Progress projects from feasibility to construction.
• Conduct site visits for assessments and surveys.
• Support CDM health and safety in designs.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design civil engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, structures, and nature-based solutions.


• Produce designs, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with CAD technicians for 3D models and 2D drawings.


• Progress projects from feasibility to construction, ensuring delivery meets standards, budget, and timelines.


• Conduct site visits for asset assessments, feasibility studies, and survey data collection.


• Promote health and safety by identifying and eliminating design hazards under CDM Regulations.


• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, senior engineers, contractors, and suppliers.


• Enhance project sustainability, innovation, and digital approaches.


• Support the development of Standard Products and perform technical reviews.

What We’re Looking For

• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.


• Experience in civil design, preferably in water or wastewater projects.


• Proficiency with British Standards, Eurocodes, MS Office, and design software.


• Ability to interpret ground investigation reports for design solutions.


• Strong communication, report-writing, and data analysis skills.


• Passion for problem-solving, innovation, and driving positive change.
