Job Title: Civil Engineer (Drainage/Infrastructure)

Location: Based near Milton Keynes

Salary: £32,000 - £37,000

This is an ideal opportunity to join my client, a well-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to projects across the Civil and Structural Engineering landscapes. They are currently on the lookout for an experienced, enthusiastic Civil Engineer with a strong background in Drainage and Infrastructure who is willing to take on a challenging array of projects across a variety of sectors, based near the modern, green city of Milton Keynes.

Responsibilities
  • Design drainage, highways, and external works across new build and refurbishment projects
  • Produce technical documents with respect to the relevant Section Agreements (particularly S38, S278, and S104)
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders at all stages of project delivery, from initial inception through to successful implementation and delivery
  • Mentor other colleagues, sharing best practice and aiding in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Required skills and experience
  • A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a design-based role in a UK consultancy setting
  • Prior experience of producing Drainage Strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
  • Experience of highways and external works design
  • Excellent working knowledge of relevant software systems, including AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, Ground Modelling, WinDes, etc.
  • Previous experience of liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to work as part of a high-performing team, as well as on your own initiative
  • Full, valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable skills and experience
  • Prior experience of the Flood Risk sector (including authoring Flood Risk Assessments) or Transport Planning
  • Experience in the use of BIM
  • Previous experience of managing an extensive range of projects
  • Good working knowledge of Civils 3D, Site 3D, and Revit
  • Possess Chartered Status (or actively working to attain this)
