Job summary

A civil and structural engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Civil Engineer with at least two years' experience in consultancy. The ideal candidate will handle civil engineering designs, support drainage and highways projects, and work closely with various stakeholders. Strong AutoCAD skills and a degree or HNC in Civil Engineering are essential. This position offers clear progression toward Chartership within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a Civil Engineer within a consultancy.
• Experience supporting roads and drainage design on residential developments.
• Good AutoCAD skills with exposure to MicroDrainage or PDS.

Responsibilities

• Preparing civil engineering drawings and designs using AutoCAD.
• Supporting highways and drainage design for residential developments.
• Producing calculations in line with current UK standards.
• Assisting with S104, S38 and S278 submissions and approvals.
• Liaising with local authorities, drainage authorities and statutory undertakers.
• Coordinating with architects, clients and the wider design team.

Skills

Civil Engineering experience

AutoCAD

MicroDrainage or PDS

Understanding of SuDS

Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
