To succeed in this role you must have a Civil Engineering degree and experience delivering civil engineering services across all RIBA work stages. As our new Civil Engineer you will be part of a five‑person airfield civil engineering team based in Chester, with flexible location for the right candidate. Based on a strong future pipeline of work for both civil and military clients, we are looking to expand the team. The role requires an inquisitive mind, capable of developing innovative and sustainable outcomes to support our clients, with travel opportunities within the UK and internationally.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Civil design at all RIBA stages for both traditional and design‑and‑build procurement.
• Managing your own time and that of technicians.
• Reviewing drawings produced by CAD technicians.
• Identifying project risk and opportunity.
• Conducting technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.
• Designing new civil infrastructure.
• Reviewing, assessing and designing alterations to existing civil infrastructure.
• Working towards or being interested in chartership.
• Delivering civil design in accordance with Eurocode and UK Building Regulations.
• Understanding and applying Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, including the Principal Designer role.
