Job Overview

((BST: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs) 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)))

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join a medium-sized UK-based consultancy in Manchester. You will be responsible for designing infrastructure projects under supervision of a Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate to learn and develop towards chartership.

The Civil Engineering team is looking for an engineer with 3‑4 years’ experience. This engineer will work on Highway Road design, Bridges, Section 238, Flood alleviation, Pump Stations, Sustainable Drainage, Sewage network design, Pavements, Earthworks, Cut and Fill analysis. Work will involve pre‑planning and master planning projects from conceptual design through to construction phases.

Qualifications
  • Must have UK right to work.
  • Hold a degree in civil engineering or another comparative degree.
  • Prepare project and client proposal.
  • AutoCAD and in particular Civil 3D and Microdrainage.
  • Highway and drainage section agreements (38, 278 and 104).
  • Flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage systems.
  • Demonstrate the desire and drive to becoming Chartered which will be fully supported by the company.
  • Understanding on DMBR.
  • Oversee and help the senior engineer with design.
