Bennett and Game are representing a multidisciplinary consultancy now looking to strengthen its Liverpool and London offices with the appointment of a Civil Engineer specialising in drainage and highways design, offering clear progression into client-facing responsibilities and management. With over 40 years of industry experience and around 60 staff across multiple UK offices, they have built a strong reputation delivering civil engineering projects focused on highways, drainage and flood risk management. Their expertise includes adoptable drainage design, S278 highways works, flood risk assessments and drainage strategies for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

Civil Engineer Job Overview
  • Designing adoptable and private drainage with the usual packages (MicroDrainage/Flow)
  • Producing highways designs and drawings, including S278 works
  • Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies to support planning
  • Coordinating drainage with foundations and other structures to avoid clashes
  • Preparing and supporting section applications for drainage and highways (S104, S106, S278, S38)
  • Creating clear, accurate drawings for technical submissions
  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders with scope to develop fee proposals and business development

Civil Engineer Salary & Benefits
  • £30,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience
