Civil Engineer - Kettering (Full-Time, Permanent)

Are you a Civil Engineer looking for the next step in your career? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering consultancy with a strong project pipeline across residential, education, and commercial developments — from small bespoke builds to major multi-million-pound schemes. You'll be joining a supportive civil engineering team made up of experienced Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians, working on the design and delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of civil engineering designs from concept through to detailed design
  • Preparing design models, drawings, calculations, and reports for roads, drainage, earthworks, and other infrastructure
  • Using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage and PDS to produce accurate technical outputs
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Carrying out site visits, surveys, and inspections as required
  • Ensuring all designs meet relevant standards, regulations, and health & safety requirements
  • Contributing to internal quality control and continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with the wider design team to resolve technical challenges efficiently
Qualifications
  • Experience within a civil or infrastructure design environment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other recognised design software
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiar with relevant design codes and standards (highways, drainage, flood risk, utilities)
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
