Job summary

Langan is seeking a Site/Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in London. This role supports planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects, offering hands-on experience across mixed-use developments and campuses.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, drawings, and cost estimates using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools, while ensuring quality and timely deliverables within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Entry to 2-6 years’ experience
• Internship or professional experience in site/civil design including planning, grading, drainage, soil erosion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Availability to work approx. 10:00–19:00, Monday–Friday with some evenings/weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects
• Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• Utilize reports, maps, drawings, plans and geotechnical data to inform planning and design decisions
• Recommend new approaches to improve efficiency and services
• Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks
• Perform other duties as requested

Job Summary

Langan is seeking aSite/Civil Engineerto join its collaborative team in London.This individual will serve a key function in providing assistance with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in site/civil engineering design for mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and other exciting land development projects in a continuous learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects;
• Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment;
• Effectively usereports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, testand aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects;
• Recommendnew approaches and ideas that continuously improve efficiency and services performed;
• Apply knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics;
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; and
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
• Entry to 2-6 years’ experience;
• Prior relevant internship or professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Available to work approximately 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m; and
• Availability to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
