Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a Civil Design Engineer for their Manchester area team. You will contribute to civil design across housing developments, drainage, highways and infrastructure while working towards Chartership in a supportive environment.

The role offers hands-on project exposure, mentorship, and a clear path to ICE chartership within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. Flexible working and good progression opportunities complement a strong team ethos.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar).
• 0–2 years' experience (consultancy or development environment ideal).
• Strong ambition to achieve Chartership (ICE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of civil engineering design projects within the development sector.
• Assist with the day-to-day running of projects, progressing towards lead responsibility.
• Work closely with clients, local authorities, and contractors.
• Prepare and progress technical submissions (S38, S278, S104 agreements).
• Develop design work across highways, drainage, and SuDS schemes.
• Respond to technical queries and support project delivery to deadlines.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team on varied development projects.
