A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking Civil Design Engineers specializing in Water projects. The role involves creating detailed designs and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on wastewater and clean water networks. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering, ideally possess affiliations with professional institutions, and demonstrate effective client interaction and technical design skills. Join a collaborative environment that values innovation and offers competitive compensation and benefits.
We are currently in the market to recruit multiple Civil Design Engineers (Water), ideally with wastewater networks and/or clean water networks experience, for a variety of major long‑term water industry frameworks across the UK.
In addition to a range of long‑term programmes across the UK, Tetra Tech and RPS have successfully won a £100 million single‑award framework from United Utilities to support the improvement of river health across the Northwest of England. Under this 10‑year framework, Tetra Tech will drive programme optimisation, develop solutions, and select the preferred options based on best value, lowest carbon, and cost.
We are a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development to our Water Industry clients, supporting business planning and delivery. We also work with several major water companies across the UK, holding a broad portfolio of long‑term framework agreements.
As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role is critical to delivering great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will work alongside a multi‑disciplinary team of water project experts on capital delivery projects, contributing to optioneering, outline, and detailed design across various frameworks in Wastewater Infrastructure.
At Tetra Tech, we provide a collaborative environment that supports individual performance, innovation, and creativity. We are proud to offer competitive compensation and benefits.

We are happy to discuss flexible working for this role, including the possibility of reduced hours, flexible start and finish times, or compressed hours, to support work‑life balance.
Come and join our team and truly make a difference in the future of water! As this is a joint venture, we are resourcing across both our businesses; therefore, your CV may be shared between both Tetra Tech and RPS (A Tetra Tech Company).
