As a Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including:

  • New and replacement potable water mains
  • Foul drainage and CSO remediation schemes
  • Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
  • Conventional surface water drainage design
  • Civil engineering design and modelling activities
  • Technical assessments, calculations, and reporting
  • Coordination with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Supporting project delivery across multiple concurrent assignments
About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • At least 3 years' experience within the UK water industry
  • Experience in potable water, surface water and/or foul water design or construction
  • A Civil Engineering degree, ideally at Master's level
  • Progress towards, or a desire to achieve, professional qualification through ICE or CIWEM
  • Experience using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, or similar 3D design and modelling software
  • Knowledge of Water Authority approval processes including S104 and S106 agreements
  • Experience working with SuDS Approval Bodies
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • A proactive, methodical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
What's on Offer?
  • Up to £70,000 pa (depending on experience)
  • Flexible and agile working arrangements
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Christmas office closure period
  • Additional annual leave entitlement after long service
  • Life insurance and life assurance cover
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Contributory pension scheme (5% employee / 7% employer)
  • Professional membership fees paid
  • Structured support towards chartership and professional accreditation
  • External training courses and ongoing CPD
  • Peer-to-peer technical development sessions
  • Regular social and wellbeing activities including sport, charity events, and wellness initiatives

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative consultancy environment where technical excellence, professional development, and employee wellbeing are genuinely valued.
