Job summary

A leading construction company in the UK is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their team. The role involves civil and structural design for water and wastewater treatment projects, with responsibilities that include collaborating closely with internal and external teams. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in civil design engineering and a degree in Civil Engineering. This position offers a hybrid work model with flexible office locations.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction methods, and buildability principles.
  • Understanding of BIM processes and collaborative design environments.
  • Chartered status (or working towards) and experience in sustainable design desirable.

Are you a skilled civil engineer with a passion for designing sustainable infrastructure? We’re looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join our team and deliver innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of civil and structural design elements, working closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure designs are safe, efficient, and compliant. From feasibility studies to detailed design and commissioning support, you’ll play a key role in shaping projects that make a real difference to communities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on technical challenges, collaboration, and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Please note that this role is a hybrid where you will be expected to attend the office 2-3 times a week. The contractual office base is flexible and can be either Ilkeston, Cookstown, Balcombe or Apsley. This can be discussed further at interview.
