Job description

Ourclient isa Refinery which is located on the east coast of England in North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. The Humber facility include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, hydrodesulfurization, thermal cracking and delayed coking units. The refinery has two coking units with associated calcining plants. This is the only coking refinery in the United Kingdom, and a producer of high-quality specialty graphite and anode-grade petroleum cokes. The refinery also produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. The majority of the light oils produced by the refinery are distributed to customers in the United Kingdom by pipeline, railcar and truck, while the other refined petroleum products are exported throughout the world.

THE ROLE:
  • Develop and implement surveys and inspection programmes covering superstructures, stacks, silos, secondary containment structures, drains, sump, pits, road and rail track, fireproofing, etc.
  • Liaise with consultants and specialists to develop specific solutions for projects (small, medium, and large), maintenance and turnaround.
  • Liaise with plant owner to gather information for the development of specific solutions.
  • Be proficient in all, or most, of the aspects of Civil & Structural engineering techniques.
  • Design experience is essential.
  • Experience with specific structural and civil engineering design software is required, e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, Stadd Pro, Graitec, SAP2000.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, conversant with Advance Steel, Navisworks.
  • Experience in the implementation and design of temporary works solutions, e.g. superlifts, temporary support for retrofitting of new equipment utilizing existing structures, design scaffold supports, deep excavations.

Standard working hours are 08:00 - 16:30. However, the company also offers two different working patterns as part of the flexible working policy, which is available to agency workers.
