Job summary

Westfield Secondary School in Sheffield is seeking a City Centre Horticultural Supervisor to lead the day-to-day work of the horticultural team, plan seasonal maintenance, and work hands-on across planting and turf care on the Gold Route in the city centre.

You will bring strong horticultural knowledge and practical site experience, plus the ability to organise and support a team, work with contractors, keep records, and uphold safety and quality standards.

We’re looking for a City Centre Horticultural Supervisor to help keep Sheffield’s public spaces looking their best. You’ll lead the day-to-day work of the horticultural team, plan and deliver seasonal maintenance, and work hands‑on across planting, turf care and other horticultural tasks, with a particular focus on the city centre’s Gold Route.

You’ll bring strong practical horticultural and plant knowledge, experience maintaining high-quality sites, and the ability to organise and support a team. You’ll also work with colleagues and contractors, keep accurate records, and help ensure work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
