Job summary

Städar - Cleaning is seeking a diligent cleaning operative in Leicester City Centre to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in communal areas of a residential building. The role is 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 2.5-hour daily shift in LE3 5BD.

Training will be provided; prior commercial cleaning experience is not essential. A strong understanding of health and safety practices is advantageous, and the candidate should work well independently or as part of a team with reliable time

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning is not essential; training will be provided.
• A strong understanding of health and safety practices related to cleaning operations is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and stored correctly.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and schedules to ensure consistency in service delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient cleaning operations across all designated areas.
