Job description
Circulation Student Assistant, Library – $8.00/hour

Position for the 2025-26 Academic Year in the Murray Library - Circulation (2430E) at Main Campus (Grantham). 10–12 positions open. Hours per week: 6–10. Work schedule TBD with supervisor.

Position Summary

This position assists patrons with library related inquiries and transactions; maintains the library’s collection; handles opening/closing procedures and monitors building premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform circulation duties such as check‑in, check‑out, holds, class reserves & interlibrary loans.
  • Assist patrons with a variety of library & academic related questions.
  • Maintain library collection by organizing, shelving, shelf‑reading & reviewing.
  • Demonstrate a welcoming & hospitable demeanor.
  • Attend all mandatory circulation meetings.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Secondary Duties
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience

Prior library experience is a plus.
