Job summary

Ipsum Utilities Limited is seeking a Lining Engineer to deliver patching and rehab work on drainage networks across the UK. You will assess pipe conditions, select repair methods and document works, while coordinating with clients and internal teams to maintain safety, quality and performance.

Applicants should have extensive rehab experience with CIPP lining, including UV/Steam/Hot Cure methods, plus a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rehab and CIPP lining operations.
• Proven ability to operate patching rigs and lining equipment on-site.
• Full UK Driving Licence and clean safety record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Carry out patching and repair work on drainage systems.

• Produce accurate and high-quality reports and records of completed works.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all works comply with health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Act as a key point of contact on site and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support 24/7 on-call service with flexible early starts and out-of-hours work as required.

Job description

As a Lining Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Carrying out patching work on drainage systems using RSM Sewertronics UV system Assessing pipe conditions and identifying appropriate repair solutions Producing accurate and high-quality reports and records of completed works Working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently Ensuring all works are completed in line with health and safety, quality and environmental standards Carrying out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks Acting as a key point of contact on site, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders We operate a 24/7 service, so you will need to be flexible with early starts, weekend working and out of hours working across the UK.
Ideally, you'll bring previous experience in a similar role, a safety-focused approach to work as well as: Extensive experience in rehab and CIPP lining operations Significant knowledge of rehab techniques, equipment and processes - including (but not limited to) UV, Steam, Hot Cure, Blue Light & Patching Previous experience working on a patching rig, using a lining kit and cutting equipment Confined Space & Street Works certifications High pressure water jetting, water hygiene and banksperson training Experience within drainage, utilities or wastewater industry Full UK Driving Licence Fantastic attention to detail, with the ability to work as part of a team Ability to lead site activities and maintain high standards of safety, quality and performance
