Job summary

Cookfood in Wokingham is looking for a Christmas Casual Retail Team Member to join our friendly shop team. You’ll help customers plan meals, promote offers and keep the shop looking fresh and inviting.

You’ll also operate the till, support with deliveries and stock takes, and ensure all shop paperwork and checks are completed accurately. This role is casual/fixed term with competitive hourly pay and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience not required, but customer-facing retail experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions.
• Keep the shop immaculate, stock replenished and the freezers full.
• Be a whizz on the till, operate it efficiently and accurately.
• Understand shop paperwork and necessary legal checks.
• Open up the shop and close it, end-of-day reconciliation.
• Check in deliveries and assist with stock taking.
