Salary for this role is £12.40 per hour.

The festive season at Boots is one the most exciting and important times of the year. As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you will greet customers with a smile, offer product and gift advice, and create a memorable experience that keeps them coming back all year round.

Whether you are just starting your career or already have retail or customer service experience, this temporary contract offers the potential for a permanent role depending on the opportunities in your area.

About the role

You will work in a Boots store and report to the Assistant or Store Manager.

  • Customer Interaction: Offer thoughtful advice, recommend products, and highlight offers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Till Operation: Work at the counter or support self‑checkout systems with energy and efficiency.
  • Stock Management: Keep shelves full so customers can always find what they need during the busiest season.
  • Store Presentation: Maintain a clean and appealing store layout.
  • Online Order Support: Assist with pick, pack, and delivery of online orders as needed.
What you'll need to have
  • Availability to work Bank Holidays, Black Friday week, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
  • Customer Service Skills: Comfortably approach customers and provide personalised experiences.
  • Operations Ready: Balance customer care with daily shopfloor and operational tasks.
  • Tech‑Savvy: Learn and use new technology, including handheld devices, tills, and self‑checkouts.
  • Team Player: Collaborate to meet store goals and enjoy the work environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Be on your feet, standing, walking, and lifting regularly.
  • Brand Ambassador: Love Boots ethos, products, and services and share enthusiasm with customers.
It would be great if you also have
  • Experience in a retail or customer‑facing environment.
  • Familiarity with Boots products and services.
