Job summary

COOK in Henley is seeking a delivery driver for our community-focused service. Casual hours with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour for home deliveries across the local area.

Applicants should have a Cat B licence and be aged 25 or over for insurance. The role emphasises safe driving, punctual deliveries and clear communication with our office team.

Qualifications

• Delivery drivers must hold a valid UK driving licence (Cat B).
• Casual hours are available with pay stated per hour.
• Insurance requires driver age 25+.
• No formal qualifications required beyond driving role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers’ homes safely and efficiently.
• Plan routes, communicate delays to the office and customers.
• Complete all required paperwork at the end of each shift.
• Drive in a safe manner and comply with traffic regulations.
• Maintain accuracy of delivery paperwork and handover to office.

The Role

• Offer remarkable service – the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Carry out deliveries safely and in line with the responsibilities in our driver handbook.
• Plan your route to ensure efficient and timely delivery, communicating any delays or issues with our office team so the customer can be informed.
• Take care to look after your own safety and that of others. Drive in a safe and responsible manner and comply with all relevant traffic regulations, including adhering to speed limits.
• Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed and returned to the office at the end of each shift.

Good to Have

Cat B full car/van UK manual driving licence. Minimum of two years driving the class of vehicle. Aged 25 and over for insurance.
