Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a CHP Engineer to support their Operations team based in the Midlands/South. The successful candidate will provide assistance during breakdowns and will have proven experience with engines, mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, and a Mechanical Engineering qualification to Level 3. The role offers an annual salary of £57,000 with OTE up to £63,500, a company vehicle, and additional benefits including 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.

Due to continued expansion, they have a vacancy for a CHP Engineer in the Midlands / South.

Candidates will ideally be based in Birmingham, Royal Leamington Spa, Banbury, Reading, Winchester, Crawley, Frome or close surrounding areas.

The successful Engineer will provide support to the Operations team, giving guidance and assistance during breakdowns.

CHP Engineer Requirements:
  • Proven experience of working with engines and a recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification to Level 3.
  • Extensive knowledge of gas engines/generators, particularly MWM/CATCG/MTU.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Proven fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Experience with AC/DC control panels.
  • Ability to take part in a call‑out rota.
  • Flexible approach to travel and staying away from home overnight occasionally.
  • IT literate.
  • Hold full UK driving licence.
CHP Engineer Benefits:
