Job summary

Mane in the UK seeks an experienced Mechanical Technician to join a leading aerospace and defence programme supporting Chinook helicopter maintenance at Middle Wallop.

You will perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification to keep aircraft safe, serviceable and compliant.

The role is a long-term contract with a day shift, £38 per hour, plus a £3 per hour retention bonus after six months, and potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience as Aircraft Mechanical Technician, rotary-wing preferred.
• Ability to carry out inspections, component replacement and testing.
• Familiarity with QR640 and Boeing Part 145 environments.
• Current SC security clearance or ability to transfer.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft mechanical maintenance on Chinook helicopters.
• Support Primary and Primary Star maintenance activities.
• Inspect, remove, replace and test mechanical components and systems.
• Diagnose faults and rectify in accordance with approved maintenance data.
• Follow military maintenance procedures and airworthiness requirements.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in line with procedures.
• Ensure safety, quality and airworthiness standards are met.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to meet programme deadlines.
