Job summary

Thornhvac is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Engineer to work on chillers across London and the Northern Home Counties. You will diagnose on-site, perform fault finding and repairs, and support large-scale plant installations with our major manufacturing partner.

Full product training will be provided; you must have strong chiller competence, a full driving licence, and willingness to travel between customer sites including London, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with F-Gas and/or NVQ Level 2.
• Strong chiller knowledge and confidence in fault finding.
• Experience performing on-site diagnostics and repairs on plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support customers on site with diagnostics and technical advice for chillers.
• Conduct fault finding and hands-on investigations, including compressor changes where needed.
• Pre-planned site calls to hotels, universities, hospitals and industrial customers.
• Create detailed service reports using in-house tools and provide recommendations.
• Provide phone-based technical support to customers as required.

HVAC Service Engineer, London/Northern Home Counties Work direct for a major manufacturer. Chiller knowledge required. Competitive basic, door-door travel. bonus, overtime, 25 days holiday.

The Role:

• Supporting customers on site with equipment diagnostics, technical support & advice on their chillers.
• Undertake your own fault finding and hands-on investigation into the units, to include independent repairs, compressor changes etc.
• Pre-planned site calls into a range of customers to include hotels, universities, hospitals and industrial customers.
• Use of in-house reporting tools to create detailed service reports and recommendations.
• Providing phone based technical support to your customers in addition as required.

The Person:

• Seeking a qualified engineer, with F-Gas and/or level 2 NVQ.
• Some understanding, knowledge and confidence on chillers is a must.

Full product training will be given but that basic chiller competence must be there.

• Full driving licence required and flexibility to travel to customer sites across the Northern Home Counties and into London required.

The Location:

Ideally you'll be located to the North of London in the Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire area or nearby surrounding towns/cities. You'll be on planned calls to customers across these areas and into London as required.
