Herefordshire Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities team in Herefordshire. You will assess, plan and coordinate multi-agency support for children with disabilities, ensuring their voices are at the centre of decisions and outcomes.
You will work within an inclusive, supportive team, focusing on safeguarding, wellbeing and participation in communities. The role offers relocation support, progression opportunities and generous annual leave.
Job Title: Children’s Social Worker – Children with Disabilities
Salary: HC8 £36,363 - £40,777 (plus £5,000 market rate supplement per year £41,363 - £45,777)
Welcome payment: £10,000 (see attached guidance)
Contract: permanent

Our Children with Disabilities service is made up of one team. The team comprises of a Team Manager, two Managing Practitioners, one Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and a team of Family Support Workers.

We are looking for a skilled and committed Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team.
In this vital role, you will work directly with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, along with their families, to ensure they receive the right support at the right time. You will complete holistic assessments, plan and coordinate services, and work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and independence. Your work will focus on enabling children to thrive and reach their full potential, with their voice and experience at the centre of everything you do.
