A leading care provider in Swadlincote is seeking a full-time Residential Care Worker to support children with complex trauma needs. The role involves ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, planning and supervising care, and creating a safe environment for the children.   • Salary: £14.17 to £14.99 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
  • Planning team rotas to support the Deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
  • Assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
  • Carrying out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
  • Supervising in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager
  • Welcoming a diverse culture in the home
  • Creating a safe, family environment for the children
Requirements
  • You MUST be 21 due to Ofsted regulations
  • Driving is essential due to locations of the homes
  • You must have at least six months’ experience in Children’s residential care and you must hold a relevant level 3 qualification
Benefits
  • £30 per sleep in, per month
  • 224 hours of paid annual leave per annum, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
  • Working on a rota basis - you will receive a monthly rota
  • This is a 365 day a year job, including Christmas, new year and all the holidays
  • The shifts consist of days and sleep ins (which are essential) and the hours differ depending on which home you are based in
  • Fully paid 10-day induction course
