We are looking for enthusiastic residential care workers to join our team, building strong relationships and fostering a warm, supportive, and rewarding environment for the children and young people in our care. No two days are the same in this dynamic and fulfilling role. You’ll plan engaging activities, provide one-on-one support, and accompany young people on off-site trips. You’ll need to be adaptable, flexible, and skilled at reading situations to guide young people towards making positive choices. Experience is preferred but not necessary if you have a positive, can-do attitude and the passion to make a real difference.

What We Offer
  • £12.69 - £13.31 per hour (dependent on experience) plus an additional £30 per sleep in
  • A full two weeks of paid training before starting
  • Overtime rate of x1.25
Our Shift Patterns
  • 2 – 3 shifts per week on a full-time basis
  • Shift pattern is 2 days in, 4 days off; sleep-ins are mandatory
Key Responsibilities
  • Providing emotional support during challenging times
  • Fostering ambition in young people, helping them achieve their goals and maximise their potential
  • Supporting the educational pursuits of young people
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing written reports for planning meetings, reviews or other meetings as directed by the line manager
  • Empowering young people to participate in decision-making about their lives and futures
  • Acting as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion
  • Encouraging community engagement, attending off-site activities, and expanding personal social networks
  • Meeting the needs of children and young people, organising social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.)
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
  • Full UK driving license preferable but not essential
  • No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people
  • Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
