Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is recruiting for a permanent Children’s Social Worker to join Southend-on-Sea City Council in the Children Looked After (CLA) and Families First Teams. The role offers hybrid working and a salary range of £39,862–£45,091 per annum.

You will work with children in care, conduct statutory visits, undertake assessments, and deliver interventions to improve outcomes, while collaborating across multi-agency partners to support families and carers.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Experience working within Children’s Services
• Strong assessment, safeguarding, and case management skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people in care with care planning, statutory visits, and partnership working with carers, families, schools and other professionals
• Undertake assessments, develop plans, and deliver interventions for child in need and child protection cases
• Work within Children Looked After (CLA) and Families First teams to improve outcomes and reduce risk

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for experienced Children's Social Workers to join Southend-on-Sea City Council on a permanent basis. Opportunities are available within both the Children Looked After (CLA) Team and the Families First Team.

Children Looked After (CLA) Team

You will be responsible for supporting children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met through effective care planning, statutory visits, and partnership working with carers, families, schools, and other professionals.

Families First Team

Working with children and families at Child in Need and Child Protection level, you will undertake assessments, develop plans, and deliver interventions aimed at improving outcomes and reducing risk.
