A children and young people's service provider in Chatham seeks a Team Manager to lead a dedicated team focused on supporting children and young people with disabilities. Qualifications

  • Qualified Social Worker with extensive post-qualifying training.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a Team Manager to lead, manage and motivate a team responsible for promoting the best interests of Children and Young People with Disabilities aged 0 – 17 (up to 18th birthday).

The Team Manager will be responsible of supervising Assistant Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, qualified social worker and Family support workers. We are looking for highly committed professionals with the prior experience of working with children with disabilities, strong knowledge of disability related grants, experience of working with multi-disciplinary professionals in SEND, and Integrated Care Board (ICB) as well as managing court cases, safeguarding and CIN plans.

This is an exciting time to join our Children & Young People Disability Team as we have realigned our services and increased staffing capacity to ensure our staff feel supported to achieve the best outcomes for our children, young people and families.

We have also invested in our learning and development offer, launched a new career progression framework and are in the process of embedding Signs of Safety as our relationship based practice model.

You will be a qualified Social Worker with extensive post qualifying training and experience of managing and delivering professional supervision.

You will be able to demonstrate and model good practice that reflects a commitment to relationship and strengths-based practice, working collaboratively with children and their families. You will also be experienced in working with children in a statutory setting and undertaking direct work with disabled children and young adults.

About You
  • You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification eg. Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England.
  • You will have successfully completed your ASYE
  • You will have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
