Job summary

Kent County Council's Athena Childrens Home in Ashford is recruiting Childrens Support Workers to help establish a new, high-quality home for children with complex needs. The role focuses on trauma-informed practice, Positive Behaviour Support, and developing each child's skills and independence.

Join a small team (up to 2 children per home) dedicated to consistent, relationship-based care, safeguarding, and reflective practice.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable people.
• Knowledge of Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and safeguarding practice.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, resilience and a calm, consistent approach.
• Interest in Positive Behaviour Support (training and ongoing support and development provided)
