About the Service

Elwood Recruitment are recruiting dedicated, experienced and committed support workers to provide care and support to vulnerable children and young people within a residential short breaks service based in Wolverhampton.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in varied and exciting activities, providing positive experiences and independent living skills to children and young people with complex health needs, physical and learning disabilities (LD).
  • Supporting individuals living with profound learning difficulties, aged 5‑18 years.
  • Supporting, mentoring and educating children with day‑to‑day activities to develop their emotional and social needs.
  • Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living.
  • Positive engagement to encourage children and young people in their development.
  • Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of an on‑going development plan.
  • Managing complex behaviours that may challenge.
Schedule & Pay

Flexible shift patterns , including earlies, lates, long days and waking nights on a weekly basis, giving you full control over when you would like to work and the benefit of weekly pay.

Essential Experience
  • Care & Support Work: 6 months in the UK.
Essential Qualifications
  • QCF/NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People.
