Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a Social Worker for ongoing locum work in the Wirral, Merseyside. The role covers Full Time/Part Time hours with a £40.00 hourly rate, supporting children and families in a dynamic children’s social care setting.

You will undertake safeguarding duties, collaborate across agencies, and contribute to care planning, record keeping, and potential court proceedings as required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering professional information, assessments and support to children and families.
• Ability to gather and record information for care planning and safeguarding.
• Experience with court-related proceedings and statements when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and support to empower children, young people and families to access services.
• Liaise with partners to collect information for care planning and safeguarding reviews.
• Record, analyse and file information following policies and safeguarding duties.
• Undertake statutory safeguarding duties to protect children and families.
• Collaborate with multi‑agency teams to deliver coordinated responses.
• Maintain case notes, prepare statements, and support court proceedings.
• Develop expertise and share knowledge within the team.
• Investigate neglect or ill-treatment while balancing needs and rights.
• Provide case oversight with timely directions to colleagues.
