Job summary

Esland are seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our Ravensden team. You will contribute to care plans, build supportive relationships with young people and families, and maintain high standards of care in line with Ofsted expectations.

Role requires flexibility for 24–48 hour shifts, a full UK driving licence, and a willingness to undertake Level 3 qualifications if needed. A rewarding career with progression opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Diploma level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience in a children's home setting (desirable)
• Must be over 21 to meet industry regulations
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Willingness to undertake the qualification if not held

Responsibilities

• Contribute to care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation.
• Form effective relationships with young people, their families and external agencies.
• Ensure the home is clean and tidy; follow the cleaning rota and involve youths.
• Maintain high-quality records with supervision from shift leads and managers.
• Promote residential care work to high professional standards and Ofsted expectations.
• Support educational and social development of each young person and implement Individual Education Programs.
• Meet emotional and physical needs and maximize development opportunities.
