Job description

Work with York Limited are working with our York based public sector client, on a brand-new service, Together We Can, to recruit a qualified Children’s Residential Support Worker, providing support to children and young people across the city between 11-17.

This role involves working a rota pattern with shifts covering weekends, day, evening, sleeping nights and bank holidays.

Pay is £15.82 per hour with enhancements for evening and weekend working.

This role involves:
  • Working as part of a specialist team to support children and young people and their families who are on the edge of care, who are in care or leaving care.
  • You will play a crucial role in a young person’s life, acting as a key worker and developing meaningful relationships built on compassion, respect, and trust.
  • Providing ongoing support to young people and their families who are on the edge of care or supporting them back to their family home or supported lodgings.
  • Providing exceptional care and support when a young person requires co-ordinated support whilst living in a residential setting.
  • Supporting a young person requiring therapeutic care, to access the relevant services and provide oversight and pathway co-ordination in and out of health services in conjunction with multiagency care plans.
You will have:
  • Experience in supporting young adults with complex health care needs.
  • Have a driving licence and a vehicle for transport.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.

Desirable:
