Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to children and young people, encouraging independence and responsibility appropriate to their age.
  • Promote the well-being and safety of young residents within a supportive, therapeutic environment.
  • Support young people in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
  • Assist with daily activities, including outings, educational pursuits, and recreational activities.
  • Manage challenging behaviours calmly and safely, maintaining a positive environment.
  • Home management duties, including promoting a homely, friendly atmosphere.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people\'s care.
  • Keep up-to-date with individual care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and communication preferences.
  • Safeguard young people from risks to their health and welfare.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience working with young people in social care or similar environments is desirable.
  • A full UK Driving Licence is essential for transporting young people.
  • Applicants must be over 21 years old.
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is preferred but not essential.
