A social care charity in Sheringham is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team in providing hands-on care for young people. The role involves managing staff, building relationships with youth, and fostering their personal development. Candidates should demonstrate emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills. As a Break Senior Support Worker, you'll be working hands-on day in day out with the young people living in the children's home and act as the senior shift worker in the staff team. You’ll also take on some extra responsibilities including line managing support workers and directing the staff and resources when on shift. You’ll work with a tight-knit team to build a relationship and trust bond with the young people living at the home. You’ll be a positive role model, supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust in adults with the help and guidance of your colleagues and Break's therapeutic services. You will encourage new experiences, supporting the young people to develop their own identity.

To be successful in the role you’ll be a good team player, and a problem solver. You will need to successfully complete an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare before you complete 24 months of Support Work. This will be fully funded by Break and you will be supported by our training team. Please note that you must have a full, valid, manual driving licence.
