Role Summary

We are looking to recruit experienced Team Leaders (three positions). Candidates must have at least two years' experience in a children's home setting or similar and be committed to providing excellent care, a kind, caring, and patient attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people we care for and support.
  • Support the home's management and take the lead on shifts.
  • Work in accordance with Imagines’ values as explained in our statement of Purpose.
  • Uphold our good Ofsted rating (May 2025) with an aim of becoming outstanding.
  • Work in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that children and young people we support are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
  • Lead and create young people’s placement plans and risk assessments.
  • Act as the lead person for overall co-ordination of support for children.
  • Act as Key worker arrangements for named young people; oversee their plans and improve quality of their life.
  • Ensure health and safety checks and audits for the house and relevant H&S staff training are complete to a high standard.
  • Promote equality of opportunity, diversity and anti-oppressive practice.
  • Willing to participate in an on call rota.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Motivated, with ability and skills to lead a team.
  • Full driving licence, willing to obtain business insurance.
  • At least two years of experience in children's home setting or equivalent.
  • Promote care and support in line with good practice and the Children’s Home Regulations (2015).
  • Hold a QCF Level 3 in relation to working with children, young people and their families or equivalent.
  • Dedication to providing outstanding care.

Role and Working Hours

Will work in the home; full time hours 37.5 hrs per week plus 10 sleep-ins per month. Shifts include evenings, weekends, bank holidays on a rota basis. Night shift allowance paid (£84 per night 23:00-07:00am).

Essentials
  • At least two years’ experience safeguarding and working with vulnerable children.
  • Full driving licence and proof of business insurance.
  • Subject to safer recruitment checks.
  • Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check (or undeclared DBS update).
  • Provide two satisfactory references.
  • Willing to work overnights and weekends.
