Children's Residential Home Manager - Liverpool

Location: Liverpool

Hours: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

I'm working on behalf of an established children's services operator with over 20 years' experience, opening a brand-new residential home in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or aspiring manager to step up into a leadership role. The home specialises in supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home. You will receive strong support from the nominated individual, who will be onsite three days per week to provide guidance, development, and mentorship. This is a fantastic chance to lead a new home from the start and shape its culture, systems, and team, with an excellent support network behind you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the residential home, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of children.
  • Work closely with the nominated individual for guidance and professional development.
  • Build and support a skilled, motivated staff team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Ofsted requirements.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans for children with EBD.
  • Create a nurturing and structured environment that promotes positive outcomes for children.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in a deputy or senior role in children's residential care.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
