A local council in the UK is seeking a Children's Home Support Worker to help care for children in a residential home. You will support their emotional and developmental needs, working within a structured care model alongside a dedicated team. Applicants should have, or be willing to obtain, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. This role offers both full-time and part-time options with competitive pay and additional enhancements for varied shifts.

If so, we are looking for a Children's Home Support Worker at our modern and well-equipped children’s home Dibden Purlieu.
The home consists of facilities to support and improve the lives of up to four children aged between 10‑17 who may have experienced emotional trauma. Working within our Model of Care – Pillars of Parenting, we focus on each child’s individual strengths to support them to develop and achieve positive outcomes. With support, children will experience the skill and expertise of Children’s Services framework of trauma-informed therapeutic intervention with the goal of reuniting the child with their family or supporting their transition to independence.
Full and Part-time across shift pattern including weekends and sleep-in duties. Additional enhancements are paid for evenings, weekends and sleep-ins (terms and conditions apply).
You are required to work in a service that operates all year 24/7.
You may be required on occasion to cover other homes within Hampshire and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
We have a Permanent Full time (37 hours) role, a Permanent Part time (18.5 hours) role and a Temporary (6 months) Full time (37 hours) role. Please confirm on your application which role(s) you'd like to be considered for.
We believe passionately in ensuring our support workers have the skills and knowledge to be able to parent and care for children in our care. Through working within our Model of Care – Pillars of Parenting – we focus on each child’s individual strengths to support them to develop and achieve positive outcomes. A relevant Level 3 Diploma is desirable, or candidates must be prepared to complete this qualification, with support.
You will work alongside a team incorporating a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, two Team Supervisors and eight other Children's Home Support Workers, as well as a range of other professionals to keep children in our care safe, support any health needs, to engage in education and make progress against their care plans.
